Will my phone work in Jersey?
It needs two things: eSIM support and a carrier-unlocked phone.
Supports eSIM
Most iPhones from the XS on, and flagship Android phones from 2020, support eSIM.
Carrier-unlocked
A phone locked to your home network won’t take another eSIM. Ask your provider if you are not sure.
Check on iPhone
Settings → General → About. If an EID is listed, the phone supports eSIM.
Your QR code appears in Your eSIMs straight after payment, and it installs on one phone. Scan it on the phone you will use.
Calls and texts
Travel and lifetime are data only. WhatsApp, FaceTime and iMessage work over the data. If people need to ring or text you on a phone number, that is the voice plan: a number, unlimited calls and SMS, and 20 GB, 50 GB, or 100 GB of data for 30 days.
You can’t add data part-way through a voice plan. It runs for 30 days with the same number, then the line stops working.
